A Little About Ron’s Purpose
Repurposing vintage glass and objects is Ron’s Purpose. My goal is to create one-of-a-kind pieces of garden art that will enhance gardens for years to come. My glass sculptures are designed from antique or vintage glass to create truly unique, one-of-a-kind garden accents that have a sense of history. Some pieces include other found object to help further accent the garden sculpture. Hunting for just the right pieces of glass takes me from antique or thrift shops, to back country roads, estate sales, or to just where ever the creative spirit carries me. The hunt is part of the design and part of my repurpose. Giving a new life and purpose to my newly found objects is Ron’s Purpose.
Feel free to move the sculptures around during the growing season as the colors and heights of your plantings change. They are glass, so be careful when moving them. Be sure the pole is secure and the weight of the glass does not pull the sculpture over. Note that it is normal for the glass creations to develop condensation. Dew and moisture are natural in a garden!
My garden accents are made from "orphaned glass or objects" and some will have small imperfections such as small chips or scratches. This patina gives my pieces character that only vintage glass can provide. I am very selective about the glass and choose only pieces that "speak to me."
